AFT is a goal centric, results driven, small group training program developed  and offered exclusively at American Fitness Gym.  

AFT training sessions will challenge your STRENGTH, ENDURANCE, MOBILITY, and CARDIO no matter what level of fitness you’re at.

All 5:30am sessions must be reserved by 10pm the night before.  No walk-ins are permitted to this session.

ABOUT THE SESSIONS

Every session is unique.

Over 200 sessions have been created in a series of formats that compliment the natural developmental requirements to build muscle, burn fat, increase cardio capability and endurance. Each daily session will focus on a difference training domain.

Each daily session begins with a brief introduction by your AFT Coach followed by a dynamic warmup.  Next comes the work: 35 intense minutes of focus. Afterward, a cool down and recovery period before you schedule your next session.

CREATE YOURSELF EVERY DAY.

Every time you walk into the AFT TEMPLE, you have the ability to create yourself anew.

RISE ABOVE YOUR LIMITS.

Only you know where your ceiling is. We’ll give you as much as or as little help as you need to rise above your own limits. 

BE PRESENT. 

When you show up to an AFT Session, you’re not somewhere else, you’re right there. Be present with your effort and you’ll see the mind/body connection work for you.

PLAY.  

Work hard. Train hard. Play hard. 

RESULTS DRIVEN: 

AFT is designed to help people achieve their fitness goals. Our coaches are all personal trainers and know how to identify weaknesses and how to leverage strengths. When you join an AFT session for the first time, you will be given a choice of being RESULTS DRIVEN or just an ATTENDEE. Those who choose RESULTS DRIVEN will have a brief goal setting meeting with an AFT Coach and we’ll lock in the metrics for your success. We’ll also plan out your work strategy and help you follow it in each session you attend.

Is this required? No. However, AFT is set up so each session becomes another step that brings you closer to your goal.

LEVELING:

Leveling is how we modify your current exercise to the level you need based on your goals. This is also a technique for dealing with injuries and other limitations. And.. this is how we can take any simple movement and make it delightfully challenging.  So, no matter what level you are, when you join a session, it will be perfectly suited to challenge you and move you closer to your goals.

PLE:

AFT Coaches use Perceived Level of Exertion to determine your optimal effort level for your goals. This isn’t a bootcamp and nobody is going to be screaming for you to do more than you should. Optimal improvement is individual as is ability and your current state. We want you to succeed for you, not for your ego. 

SESSION TYPES

AFT
Beginner

This is a training session with targeted learning approach rather than a non-stop high speed workout. We will do similar exercises that we have in our regular sessions but with more emphasis on learning the basic fundamentals of our workouts and what you can expect from AFT.

AFT
STANDARD

The Standard series AFT sessions are the predominant session type. These sessions will focus on a different domain each day and your perceived level of exertion will no longer be an abstract concept. This is where the rubber meets the road and the work happens.

AFT
SILVERBACK

The Silverback Series is a special class designed to push the limits of your ability to work. This is a high level class where every aspect of leveling will be used to constantly challenge every muscles in your body, test your will, focus and capabilities. Excuses do not exist in this world.

THE TEMPLE

The Temple is the newest evolution of the American Fitness Gym and the home to AFT. It was designed as a functional training space and will be fully complete in Q1 2020. 

During non AFT sessions, the Temple is available for any gym member to use for their own training needs. This space is also the primary work space for AF Personal Trainers. 

30 minutes before any AFT Session, the Temple will be cleared for setup and AFT Orientations.  Due to the nature of the equipment in this room, there is 24 hour video security monitoring. 

TEMPLE RULES:

If you’re in AFT, you’re here to work. 

Show up and be present, focused, and ready.

If you’re not here to work or in AFT, you’re not in here.

Coaches will clear the room 30 min before sessions. COACHES ARE THE LAW.

Treat the Temple as if it were your own.

Respect the equipment and clean up after yourself. Nothing leaves this room.
